    Cowboys, two picks reach deals

IRVING - With the start of training camp roughly a week away, the Cowboys have come to contract terms with three of their seven draft picks.

Cornerback B.J. Tucker and receiver Zuriel Smith agreed to three-year deals Thursday. The two sixth-round picks join seventh-round pick Justin Bates, a guard, who came to an agreement Tuesday.

    Tucker's deal includes a signing bonus of about $77,000 and league-minimum base salaries of $225,000 in 2003, $305,000 in 2004 and $380,000 in 2005.

Smith and Tucker have the same base salaries. Smith's signing bonus will be $69,500.

Bates received a $39,000 bonus on his three-year league-minimum deal.
