Wrong forum I know. But this does affect the Bills.. Especially we are playing them in 9 days. Thoughts?

So Seattle gave up a first and seventh in '13 and a third-rounder in '14 for Harvin, gave him a $67million contract including 25.5 guaranteed, and turned that into a '15 2nd, 3rd or 4th a little over a year later.

Irrelevant. It would be like us getting him with EJ.

When was the last time a player acquired mid season made a huge impact? The last player I remember was Corey Dillon?!?!?

Ten games

He was giving Russell Wilson ***** for not getting him the ball enough.

Mike Francesa had Glazer on WFAN right after he broke the story. Glazer was guarded. Kept saying he was working on "behind the scenes" stories related to the move for Sunday Fox pre-game.

Jets gave Geno another version of Tavon Austin. Will it work? Who knows...

It's an expensive, punative move for Seattle.

I'm sure that Wilson will miss Harvin.... But Geno Smith will miss him more.

he will never be ready to make an impact in bills / jets games unless in returns

Well, the Harvin trade makes the Bills trade with the Browns this last draft look much better.

This makes the Harvin trade look that much worse;

Our front office is a bigger cancer, but that's off the field.

Wow. Didn't realize he was that bad. Does the guy want to play football or not?

I guess not. He's way overrated anyway. Like Watkins he's supposed to be able to catch, play RB, return, etc., but he's averaged only 5 TDs/season. Should be interesting in NY. I guess since they don't have the bonus paid to him they can cut him anytime, right?

His cap hit next year is like $10.5 million sheesh

We get Fitz and Stevie's cap hits off next year correct?

Is there any post you can't turn into a bash Watkins thread?

Well, Fletch can no longer turn every thread into the Bills are moving so he had to turn to something else.

I think it was a move the Jets had to make. As I watched the Thursday night game, on more than one occasion I though the Jets have the worst receiving corps in the NFL. When TJ Graham & David Nelson are getting thrown to with the game on the line, the WRs have to be pretty bad. A WR top 3 of Decker, Harvin & Kerley is a big improvement over Decker, Kerley & someone who doesn't belong in the NFL as the top 3 WRs.

Rex's job is on the line. He needs someone that can score TDs and where do you get players like that at this point of the year?Hey, if it doesn't work out, the people that made the deal might not be around to pay the bill.

Soon Harvin's behavior is gonna find himself out of the league entirely as he'll be labelled a problem.

He best be on his best behavior with the Jets.

I would say a conditional 6th round pick being a 4th at best is a good deal.

I like how you are just making up things now to fit your narrative.

If it's a sixth and possible fourth, that's even lower than the original report. Jesus, if somebody at OBD pulled a move like that, considering what they gave up to acquire him, what they paid him, and what they can possibly get for him, these boards would explode.

Harvin doesn't have to be a consistent contributor, he just needs to flash at the right time to have an impact, that was proven last season.

This will have absolutely no effect on the divisional race or the upcoming game against Buffalo, it's silly to believe otherwise.

Harvin is exactly the type of player that can counter this defense. A couple reverses at key times coupled with over-pursuit and/or somebody not staying home and if it's not a score, it at least flips the field.

Is that what the deal was? I read in a couple spots the pick was a 4th that could become as high as a 2nd.
