Had he not been a late, loafing, unprepared drunken out of shape mountain of a man striving to impress coming off the contract of his career and had the Pats not slapped us stupid in our house, I might think they hadn't done themselves harm and might well be preparing to slap us around worse in their house, but now they might have to do it without a few toes from shooting them off themselves.

He was the only guy on the D-line to not record a single sack last year.

He became bad news quickly.

Chandler Jones out a month and the addition of Allan Branch. I'd say that is a huge downgrade for Pats with some tough teams coming up on schedule. Only helps the Bills. Doubt Branch will be on roster when Bills play Pats again.

He played well last season before he got his extension. I'd say he'll play well again this year trying to earn another payday.

Branch a capable 3/4 DE or interior DL, but not much good other than being large. He's no Chandler Jones but hes a decent replacement off the waiver wire for them.

he was a good player before getting extended and apparently going on a binge of debauchery that included not working out and driving drunk. fitty bones there was weed involved

i suspect he got back in shape and could be a very adequate fill in for them

That is the big question.

Did Branch get in shape thinking a team with injuries would come calling or did he sit back & get even fatter & more out of shape?

I guess we will find out.

Will Belichick motivate him by dangling a donut on a string over his facemask?
