not even close. ignoring the dog thing his career numbers aren't even CLOSE to HOF numbers. At his best he was a borderline pro bowler, and that was at his absolute best. He was never an accurate enough passed to have a HOF career, and there have been running QBs who were almost as good on the ground as vick who were far better passers (Tarkenton, Young, Cunningham, Wilson, Elway)

Its too bad because his level of talent when he was with Atlanta was unsurmountable. He brought in a 2 for 1 punch with his insane elusiveness and his ability to hang in the pocket and sling.

Had he pushed himself, stayed out of jail, and hung on with Atlanta, I think they could have won a SB and his legacy would have been secured.

Instead, the dogs, the admitting of being lazy and not preparing, paired with the drop off of his speed post jail time keeps him from going anywhere near the HOF. His numbers aren't even high enough to look past his off field issues.

He will be out of the league in 2 seasons.

He's not a Hall of Famer, but he will certainly go down in NFL lore as one of the more electric players ever. I mean, there are maybe 10 QBs in NFL history who could have pulled off that ridiculous Miracle at New Meadowlands performance. OTOH, all that potential squandered made him a serial coach killer.

He is probably the best athlete and runner to play qb, but that doesn't mean he is/was a great qb.
