I saw a dozen guys on NHL Network the other night discussing who was better, McDavid or Eichel. Both were highly praised and the group couldn't say without a doubt one was better than the other.

Sounds like a good kid from a great family.

That's just a badass read.

as a parent of two young hockey players, reading how is parents "parented" him instead of advocating for him and his future warmed my heart.

good stuff.

man, it would be so great to spend the next 10 years dominating the Bruins with a Boston product leading the way..... revenge for Gronk and Wilfork selling their souls to Beelzacheck.

Buffalo would have to wait 3 years before he even signed a contract, If he even would, A'la Kevin Hayes Boston college.

These BC guys don't leave school early.

Yeah

I bet he signs right after the draft.

Do you want to bet that it is not 3 years?

Besides, you are trying so hard to **** on the Sabres you don't even know where he is "going" to college.

He is also excelling at Boston university. 3 goals, 3 assists in 3 games. Last the stats were updated on elite prospects

He's going to be a hell of a player. I don't think he has the same wheels as McDavid but he is going to be an all-star IMO.

Why would a freshman throw away his college education to sign with the worst team the NHL has seen in 65 years?

After he enjoys his college run he could have his pick of the litter and name his price.

And not have to worry about that pesky RFA ****...

Why would he throw away over $2 million in guaranteed money by playing now? He won't get paid in college and will never make that money up.

So let's use your made up Boston college stereotype and broaden that to encapsulate all Boston schools!

Oh, and he can't name his own price. That pesky thing called the entry level contract.
