A source tells the Buffalo News that Fred Jackson (groin) almost certainly won't play in Thursday night's game at Miami.

The short week has proven too much to overcome for Jackson after he handled 26 snaps against the Chiefs Sunday. So the Bills will have to go into a pivotal division game with Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown as their top-two backs. Look for the inside-running Dixon to draw the start, but we'd rather take a shot on Brown as the explosive back that's better in the pass game. Jackson owners need to sit tight in the hopes he gets to 100 percent for a tasty fantasy playoff schedule (vs. GB Week 15, at OAK Week 16).

2 reasons. when it was EJ, he simply wasn't accurate enough to score in the redzone. With orton, the defenses defend the whole field. we see a lot of deep coverage to take away the deep threat, which in turn opens up the underneath, which lets us move with ease between the 20s. however, in the red zone there really isn't a deep field to cover, and frankly, our short passing game isn't great (orton's better with 10-20 yard passes then he is with 1-10 yard passes. since we don't run for some reason, we can't score with orton either.
