As the HC your fricken job is to know personel packages, down and distance situations, and overall game management, not knowing your assistant coach removed on of your most impactful players in a game that could determine your future with the organization is completely crap. If I were Hughes I would tell Whaley don't bothering talking with me until you get a coach with a clue! His explain action that Pepper Johnson took him out to cool off and forgot to put him in...SERIOUSLY!!!! This is not College football, the NFL doesn't give a damn about graduation rates and community service, it's about winning games and getting to the playoffs, right now the Bills under Marrone isn't going to do either!

Yeah, this situation with Hughes in yesterday's game was the straw that broke the camel's back for me with Marrone (am I the camel in this metaphor?). Just complete crap to bench our best defensive player in a game against the defending AFC champs when you need to be convincing him to stay with the team next year.

So you are fine with a coach not knowing what's going on gameday? If he's lying fine. He may have his reasons. If he really didn't know what's going on he's just another in the long line of dopes we've had coaching this team the last 14 years.

I think it's almost inexcusable to not be 'into' the game enough that you don't realize your best speed rusher has been out of the game for a good period of time, but it does lend credence to my suspicion that some of these fubars with handling personnel are on the assistant and not Marrone himself. Urbik and Morris stand out the most to me, and a pretty good reason why he should be shown the door at year's end.

the bills won 7 games this year, in spite of the HC and OC. this is just another example of the HC being in over his head.

Mismanagement on the sideline hinders our team more than any player on the field. That's messed up.
