Orton takes the sack too easy. Instead of trying to escape, he just turns around and tucks his chin. This is the same guy who slid last week 2 yards short on a 3rd down, which he could have got if he tried a bit harder.

Does he have heart? Is he just a big pussy?

when orton took the sack on 4th down when we were barely in FG range in a 16-10 game, i felt like orton's presence was a non factor. any of the qb;s on our roster, could have done that.

that being said, EJ isn't better. the signs all point right at hackett. every configuration he tries yields the same results. he can't coach up a young OL and a young WR corp. He needs to go.

I supported Orton even when he was only bringing us to FGs, because he A) wasn't turning the football over and B) was moving the chains and shifting field position.

Now he's doing neither. And I don't know that it's anything that the coaches can fix, he's just turtling at the slightest sign of pressure and missing easy throws. That throw to Woods on 3rd down was one of the worst I've ever seen. That's closer than most dads play catch with their sons and Woods could barely get his hands on it.
