I think the Detroit experience will mean Gym Shorts stays DC for another year. Unless we bring in a new coach who wants his own defensive staff.

But would he take it?

If he stays he gets another year with a great D, and if Marrone misses the playoffs again, Schwartz would get the job. A top D, an offense that's just missing a QB and a good draft pick to add one to the roster. Add the new owner with money to spend and Buffalo is shaping up to be the best HC gig available in 2016.

Assuming we don't make the playoffs this year.

If they don't fire Marrone, maybe they can do something like offer Schwartz an 'Assistant Head Coach in charge of the Defense' position, along with a handsome raise?

Just thinking of ideas, I don't want to lose this guy.

if marrone can't accept that an actual offensive philosphy is needed, then JS should be coach to get us into the playoffs. but JS needs to know an OC who can work with what we have. we aren't going to get a lot more weapons for next year. we need to coach up what we got.

Marrone's specialty is offense, he's gotten plenty of toys high in the draft since he arrived, and his side of the ball is an abomination. Someone from the offensive staff needs to go.

Schwartz has never had a D as talented as this . People who will want to make him a HC will have to see if they have the same talent before making him a HC so I don't think he is a HC unless they fire Marrone which I think wont happen
