What do have like a 10% chance to make the playoffs? In the event that a miracle occurs and we win the next 2 games..........I think the logical scenerio is Baltimore and Pitt win out.

We need the Bengals to lose out and finish 9-6-1 and Baltimore and Pitt to finish 11-5 sowing up the #4 and #5 spots in no order. We would need both the Chargers and Chiefs to lose this weekend and since they play each other the next week the best they could finish is 9-7.

So I'm hoping for this.......

Bills beat Raiders and Pats finish 10-6
Steelers beat Chiefs and Bengals finish 11-5
Ravens beat Texans and Browns finish 11-5
Bengals lose to Broncos and Steelers finish 9-6-1
Chargers lose to 49ers and beat Chiefs finish 9-7
Chiefs lose to Steelers and Chargers finish 8-8

Bills would grab the #6 spot........I know this scenerio is unlikely , but at least we're still in the conversation.

That's probably the most likely of scenarios that could play out that gets us in the playoffs. There are, however, several other scenarios that would get us there. I'm not sure about the 10% chance you claim we have, but teams have backed into the playoffs with lower odds than we have after 15 weeks. We can actually get in at 9-7, but that's so unlikely it shouldn't even be considered.

It all starts with a win against the Raiders this week, that's all we can control.

This is way more fun than talking about how our strength of schedule screws us by 3 draft slots.

I didn't realize until this morning that the 9ers got eliminated from playoff contention in the NFC. Hopefully that doesn't mean they're going to pack it in against the Chargers. I'd like to believe that they're too proud of a group for that, but you never know. It certainly doesn't help.

If Baltimore loses next week to Houston and finish 10-6, who would get the tiebreaker between us and them? Cincy losing their last 2 is likely, but beating Denver would assure that we play NE's scrubs in Week 17. I just don't see how we beat a NE team with something to play for.

If we finished tied with Baltimore at 10-6 they would win the tie-breaker based on winning % against common opponents. You need a minimum of four common opponents, which for Baltimore would be Miami, Cleveland, Houston, and San Diego. We're 2-3 against those teams and Baltimore would be 3-2 if they go 1-1 over the last two weeks.

Having Cincy and SD lose this week are really the two most important games besides the Bills winning.

I hope Peyton Manning comes back healthy. We need him to beat Cincy for us.

Peyton should be fine. It's their LB's that are hurting bad right now. I don't know what they're going to do there.

Just fun to be alive, sunday take care of what's in front of us and if we're still alive going into week 17, well won't that be different.

Can we have the KC and Houston games back? :D
