Why have we not signed anyone yet? I would have thought at least one of our impending FAs would have signed a small level deal by now. I wonder if Terry saying lets wait till season ends has kind of put that stuff on hold. FA does not start till the 4th or 10th of March I cannot remember off top of my head so I guess we have time. Problem I have is once season ends fear of injury is gone and we lose some security leverage and the cost will probably go up. I hope this strategy does not hurt us especially with our defensive players.

Hughes, Spikes, Spiller, Searcy, Easley and Wynn are the guys set to be UFAs. I can't see Hughes working an in season deal as he could be the best UFA DE available which means knows this is his chance to get his big money dea hopefully it's from usl. I want Spikes back for a fair price as think he's good insurance. Spiller with his injury was in no position to negotiate a deal. I bet he he gets a one or two year deal somewhere that is in need of a RB. Searcy isn't a guy you worry about losing and I want him back but not going to break the bank on him. Easley is a guy of course we want back and unless someone really want a ST guy to over pay for think we can get him back. Wynn is just a guy who I'd welcome back but I could see a late round rookie like Ray Drew replacing him.

They typically only extend during bye weeks.

It's not happening in the next two weeks.

Let them focus on Sundays...I'm OK with that. The only ones that should cost are Hughes, and Spikes (if there is a mutual feeling he should come back). Searcy, Easley, Spiller and Wynn should be back for peanuts. Hopefully they can re-up Dareus this off-season also instead of waiting until the season starts or FA in '16.

FWIW, here's an article on which teams have large cap room next season:

Ack I hope Pettine doesn't try to lure Hughes to Cleveland.
