NFL Quarterback Challenge on now (CBS)

    Jim Kelly is on it.

Top pro passers test their skills in the 14th annual event in Santa Monica, Cal. Brad Johnson (Tampa Bay), Mark Brunell (Jacksonville) and defending champ Jeff Garcia (San Francisco) are among the competitors in such skills tests as accuracy, speed and mobility, and distance.

Blake, Brady, Brunell, Bulger, Garcia, Brad Johnson and Hassleback.
Jimbo (in new jersey), Moon and along with two other retired QBs are on it.

    Jimbo quotes:
Terry Bradshaw (on the field) and Joe Namath (off the field) was his favorite Qb
I was always told Bert Jones could throw the ball 100 yards
Randall Cunningham was the long ball thrower of 'our' era (80 yards)

    Blake threw well on move
    Brady not so well
Brunell moved well and threw ok
    Bulger terrible so far
Garcia slipped (wrong shoes for this event) - Field Turf
    Hassleback (best time so far)
    Johnson threw well
Brunell and Hassleback came in #1 & #2 - Hassleback won event in finals

Boomer, Brister, Elway & Moon are senior QBs in accuracy challege
Kelly arm is off or he is not used to Field Turf
Kelly's driver "was driving too fast" and he nailed him

Moon did too and moved very well but his arm accuracy was off
Boomer won with Jimbo getting 2nd although he had advatage being last and being a leftie.

Jimbo was "very depressed" losing to Boomer (the host) having to hear him all day.

    Continues tomorrow.

    Bledsoe sat it out?
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Yeah, he found out that Wys didn't think he was good enough, so he has decided to retire. He mentioned that he could not go on living if such a great football mind like Wys thinks he sucks. I was shocked!!!

No mention of Bledsoe other than that Brady had big shoes to fill.

They had many QBs to choose from.

here are the last 10 winners:

          2002 Jeff Garcia
          2001 Trent Dilfer
          2000 Jake Plummer
          1999 Jake Plummer
          1998 Jim Harbaugh
          1997 Vinny Testaverde
          1996 Neil O'Donnell
          1995 Randall Cunningham
          1994 Randall Cunningham
          1993 Jeff Hostetler

I dont think that drew is good enough to have his name mentioned in the same breath with such imortals.

Especially with Hostetler and Harbaugh being on that list.
