If we ever needed confirmation that the Pro Bowl selection is basically reputation-based, look at the kickers. Gostkowski and Vinatieri. Carpenter had an excellent season and the most field goals of any kicker, with a high percentage. The guy is money and, frankly, without his quality we are sunk.

You're right! If Carp missed some more field goals it would have put more pressure on Orton and the offense to step up and score some points. GET RID OF CARPENTER!!!

You didn't get that confirmation the year Jeff Saturday was selected despite being benched?

Hughes not getting selected saves us $2M+ per year if we are inclined to resign him.

Then again, if he gets 3 sacks in a blow out loss to the Pats, he will get over $10M per year regardless.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson, fresh off his worst season as a pro, is first alternate. That says it all.

I believe Andrew Whitworth hasn't been charged with giving up a sack so far...yet AJ Green makes it, only playing 9 full games. Go figure...
