Is Mark Sanchez The Best Free Agent Quarterback?

    Or is Kyle Orton better?

Sanchez is having his best year since 2011. A lot of that has to do with Chip Kelly's offense.

His career stats are not very good, but most of his career was in New York with a ground a pound attack.

The official source for NFL news, video highlights, fantasy football, game-day coverage, schedules, stats, scores and more.

Last week, Sanchez went 37/50 for 374 yards, had a 74% completion percentage, threw 2 TD's and 1 pick in a 27-24 loss against the Redskins. He also ran the ball 5 times for 22 yards.

The 2018 NFL season stats per game for Mark Sanchez of the Washington Redskins on ESPN. Includes full stats, per opponent, for regular and postseason.

    Who would you rather have?

    Orton or Sanchez?

I think Sanchez gives the Bills a better chance of winning mainly due to his mobility.

Are there going to be many teams excited about the prospect of Sanchez leading their team as the unquestioned starter? Probably not, but if you cannot land one of the top draft picks, he is the next best option as the free agent pool gets bleak after Sanchez.

      are you kidding?

i'd rather root for the dolphins then have mark "dirty" sanchez under center for the bills.

Lets trade for Kaepernick or Cutler please. (not that i really want either of them, but i'd rather those two then sanchez... by a long shot)

What, just because you don't like his underwear means he's a worse QB than Kyle, "The Turtle," Orton?

There isn't one QB that is going to be available this off season (Sanchez, Cutler, RGIII) that the majority of this board isn't going to say pass to. Andrew Luck isn't going to be available. It would be nice if they could find a Russel Wilson in the draft, but, the front office obviously isn't capable of that. So do they do the Orton/EJ thing again next year? UGH. Or do they pick up a QB that has a less then stellar past, that they think they can win with? This contender level defense is wasting away because of the QB position. I would pick up the veteran QB that the Head Coach thinks gives him the best chance to win and draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round to develop.

Sanchez is at his ceiling under Chip Kelly's guidance. He is 3 - 4. Orton is running things under Marrone.

If you switched the two, Orton would look the better. With their current situations, I can understand your confusion wanting Sanchez.

Hopefully, Marrone has learned from his failures. But I don't think so. His arrogance will be his demise. But only 2015 will show us. His stubborn style in dealing with certain players (Mike Williams, Robert Wood, Urbik) will make players wonder whether this is a great place to come or not. Now FJax has claimed the players play for him, so IDK.

But as far as the 2 QBs in question - it's a question of coaching and o-line play. Sanchez is in a good spot. Orton wasn't.

How do you think Orton would have fared in Dallas this year? They have a good o-line and play calling.

Brian Hoyer has a 10-5 record with the Browns.

I would be happy to see the Bills sign him this offseason.

He's not an improvement over Orton so yeah, there's no upgrade with signing him unless you want QB depth.

I think a Coaching change would make a bigger difference than a different QB.

We already have Kyle Orton, we don't need his younger, twin brother.

Well, we don't know if we will have Orton next year or not.

I would take a Sam Bradford or Jay Cutler if either becomes available but I think Bradford will stay with the rams & Cutler will stay with the Bears.

And as you said, Hoyer is YOUNGER than Orton.

And at this point Hoyer is not a .500 QB like Orton is.

Hoyer has twice as many wins as losses at this point.

                            he's not the best option

i dont know why but looking at this list the name that pops to me is matt moore , maybe jake locker and unlike a few others i think schaub would be a viable option for us too.

but i think it will be EJ next season
