Sportrac has the Bills with ~27 mill in cap room for 2015

These numbers really don't mean much until the new cap gets set and the new league year starts. Point is we will have money.

In a deal turned into the NFL office Monday, quarterback Tom Brady restructured his contract to give the New England Patriots $24 million more in cash to spend this offseason, according to league sources.

Exactly. Which is why we need to focus on becoming a dominant running team and getting the best run blockers/back out there.

I don't see Mario restructuring... not this year. Cap is projected to be $140 from what I've read, so we could still have $33+ million to play with.

Brady's move freed up cash, not cap space. Under Brady's old deal, the Pats would have been forced to escrow all $24 million of Brady's guarantees immediately. Under the new deal, they don't have to pay them right away, so they have the money on hand to pay for new deals for Revis and such. The only way this affects their cap is if Brady leaves.

I think it's important to note that those cap numbers include a $4.3 mil cap hit for Spiller, but that's only if he takes his 6th year player option. If he opts for free agency or the Bills don't re-sign him that comes off the books I believe.

There's also quite a few players that could/should be cut that would add more cap space:

            Player/Cap Savings:
            Kraig Urbik 2.3 mil
            Manny Lawson 1.6 mil
            Keith Rivers 1.7 mil
            Scott Chandler 2.3 mil

I only included Chandler since he represents significant savings. I don't think he should or will be cut.

Either way, the Bills should have plenty of money to work with. No excuses not to be aggressive and with no first round pick, I would expect them to sign at least a couple significant free agents.

I just read that Brady gets an extra $1 Mill per year for the restructure.
