Bills sign two locals to futures contracts

ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed FB Corey Knox and TE Chris Manhertz as reserve/future signings.

Knox last played football for the University of Buffalo in 2011. In his lone season with the Bulls, he led the way for RB Branden Oliver to rush for 1395 yards and 13 touchdowns. Previously, he attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE where he participated in track. He is a native of Buffalo, NY and is 25.

Manhertz comes to the Bills from the basketball program at Canisius College. He played for the Golden Eagles from 2010-2014, averaging 6.5 points and 6.8 rebounds and leading the team in rebounding for three straight years. Over his final three seasons, the three-time team captain started in 96 of the 98 games in which he played. He is a native of New York, NY and is 22.
Likely nothing more than minicamp fodder, but two local guys to root for.

They've worked out a couple of former basketball players in the past.
