View Full Version : According to Brandon it seems no changes are imminent

He talks to the owners every day. The Pegulas have scheduled no meetings with any of the staff.

I want only one thing to happen if we decide to make staff changes... significant upgrades. Anything else is more of the same. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

And since thats unlikely to happen we might as well stick with what we have. The team just finished with a winning season and was in playoff contention. After decades of mediocrity we have something working. I don't want change just for change.

"It's hard in our business not to get caught up in the noise, but it's just that. It's noise," Brandon said. "We'll go through a methodical process. Tomorrow's all about the team. Coach Marrone will handle the team tomorrow, and then he'll handle his coaching staff. I'm sure at some point we'll get into some more in-depth meetings. There's nothing scheduled at this point. I talk to Terry all the time, and I have nothing on the books right now for any meetings as of right now."

He needs to refer to them as 'Mr' and 'Mrs.' Pegula. Show a little respect, you smarmy douchebag.

That said, I think he does a really great job at what he does... He's a used car salesman. He will convince you that this is the best team in the league every year so that you will spend your hard earned money on tickets.

Perfect adjective. I called him that on Twitter Monday..

Brandon shouldn't even speak to the media in his current role. Go sell some hats, Russ.

I'd love to see the league offer him a position so he can move on. Unfortunately, it appears he has convinced the Pegulas he is worth keeping around, at least for now. I'd love to hear what Marrone really thinks of him.

There is plenty of time to make changes.

The season is not even over yet.

I would be happy to see a new HC, but I will be fine if Marrone gets rid of Hackett or at least demotes Hackett in favor of someone with more experience that has been successful.

And I have to admit I was wrong about Crossman, so I'm not going to jump off a bridge if Hackett stays.

I do this all the time and people tell me to call them by their first name. Seniors especially tell me to do this and they complain that they aren't getting respect these days. Duh.

I guess it's the norm in this country except in the South. They don't want to be addressed with sir or mam which is usually a way to address one with respect. "I'm not that old." Or "Mr Blahblah was my father, call me Jim"

LOL If I saw Brandon in the streets I'd put my hand over my wallet just to be sure.

Interestingly in some ways he reminds me of Goddell.

If they are on a first name basis within their private conversations with each other, that's their business and preference to determine. In a public format he should always use the prefix.

I think he's done a tremendous job overall also, X, except for a hiccup when he failed as GM which was obviously over his head. I just wish he'd be less seen and heard, there really is no reason from the time the Pegula's officially took ownership of the team for him to be in the public eye, at all.

In Brandon and many homers viewpoint, this was a successful year for the Bills so change is unnecessary.

The Bills were sold to a new owner loyal to the Buffalo area who paid $400M more than he had to just because.

The Bills had a winning record for the first time in 10 years.

Why complain and just be happy there is NFL football in Buffalo.

It appears he is still being utilized as the spokesperson for the organization, so somebody very clearly sees a reason for him to be both seen and heard.

How long do you think that takes exactly?

Yes because billionaires often times let people get in front of microphones who don't speak for the organization.

Depends on how quickly they get comfortable with it. I'm willing to let them grow at their own pace.

Meh, he made the quote from the locker room after the Pats' game.

The fact that he's hanging around the locker room after a game, when he's supposed to be out of the football side of things...is a little creepy.
