Just saw it, don't believe an interview is set in stone for Rex yet, but otherwise we have the same list. I got mine from Rodak so I'm assuming if Rex was going to interview he'd have it.

We could still see Todd Bowles, Mike Smith, and others added.

If you follow this article http://www.syracuse.com/orangefootball/index.ssf/2013/01/syracuse_football_coach_doug_m_14.html it appears Doug was the 5th one to interview as it sounds like the order went Whisenhunt, Horton, Smith, Kelly and then Marrone.

So the plane was in Colorado on Saturday probably for Gase and then flew to Seattle for Quinn and Bevell and now is headed to San Francisco. Not clear why it would go to SF. But, Shanahan has a home in Colorado so they could have met with him there I guess.

Rex Ryan is interviewing with the 49ers on Sunday so that could be why were headed to SF.

Ken Whisenhunt
Ray Horton
Chip Kelly (probably in an airport bathroom)
Lovie Smith
Marrone

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8815432/buffalo-bills-interview-3-coaching-vacancy-including-lovie-smith

They never got around to Mike McCoy.

Most of those were a formality. I mean, Horton probably just happened to be in the same building when Whisenhunt was interviewed and they needed a warm body.

"Ray..doing anything right now? Want to interview for a HC job? We have some time to kill".

It was an old guard, Russ Brandon hire from the get go..and there weren't really any other serious contenders.

People didn't want to believe it at the time..

It goes that way if you have one guy in mind but have to do a few token interviews to placate your fan base, because .

1. Pittsburgh connection

Austin played his college football at Pittsburgh, the same place Bills general manager Doug Whaley played college football. With Whaley leading the coaching search, that connection could be an important one. Like Bills owner Terry Pegula, Austin is a Pennsylvania native.

Cincinnati Bengals OC Hue Jackson - Interview to be held on Wednesday (1/7)

Randomly ordered.

could live with:
San Diego Chargers OC Frank Reich - Interviewing Sunday (1/4)
Former Head Coach Rex Ryan- Nothing Scheduled yet

I am very hesitant of OC that have a premier QB, like Gase. And I dont want a former DC, like e.g. Quinn. Given that Schwartz stays, which seems likely. he can only leave if he becomes a HC or goes to College. And both seems unlikely as far as I know.

And just say no to McDaniels or anybody named Shanahan.

Over a week since Black Monday and all six vacancies are still open. You would think someone would have pulled the trigger by now. To me that's a sign that the currently active OCs and DCs are held in fairly high regard. That's Gase, Bevell, Quinn, McDaniels, Hamilton, Kubiak and potentially one or two others. I'd be willing to bet that three of the first five get a gig... possibly even four.

It doesn't make him good at either. That logic is ridiculous.

He finished his one season head coaching with a 1 - 4 record before Reggie McKenzie fired him.

And he hasn't done anything to elevate the offense in Cincinnati.

He actually produced a decent offense when he was there, and one of those years was with Jason Campbell as QB and a WR corps that says, "who?"

I still say, idk with him. Maybe he'll bring Al Saunders around as his guru/sage.
