    Source:Bills have interviewed Schwartz

Check off another name the Buffalo Bills have interviewed for their coaching vacancy.

Two sources inform me the Bills already have spoken with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz about the possibility of replacing Doug Marrone.

I didn't think he wanted to be a HC again just yet...

I would completely agree if the Bills defense didn't suck so bad against the Raiders.

Bills D had their worse game of the year against Oakland.

        "Oakland?!"

Complete meltdown in the game they needed most, and Schwartz lost to the Raiders.

If the Bills defense is as great as we all like to think it is, they should have sacked Carr 10 times and given up 1 TD at most, but that didn't happen and it didn't happen because of injuries to Dareus and Gilmore either, the Bills were getting smoked by a rookie QB (and Tony Sparano) before they got injured.

Not really. When Dareus got hurt, the Bills D had given up three consecutive 3-and-outs to Carr, followed by their one TD drive that was fueled by a fluky 50 yard pass play. Not sure that qualifies as getting "smoked by a rookie qb."

I assume Schwartz simply put on the tape of the Green Bay game, dropped the remote, and walked out.

              3rd and 22.

              Goodnight.

I think they have to sell it to the fans.

No stone unturned. Followed by an internal hire of a former flameout coach of a more inept franchise.

That sounds like business as usual. And just asking for criticism.

Watch for more leaks from players.

So any DC whose unit gives up a 3rd and 22 automatically should never be a head coach?

now that you mention it, makes perfect sense.

Wow. You guys do realize that Schwartz really sucked as a head coach.
I like him as the d-cord but as the head guy no. If you think Marrone sucked as a gameday coach, Schwartz is just as bad.
I would prefer the head guy to have an offensive background, and it will be need if they are going to cram EJ down their throat.

With all that said I expect Schwartz will eventually be named after everyone else turns them down.
                        And the cycle continues.....

I was not a proponent of Schwartz being HC but he's growing on me. Detroit at the end of his tenure turned into a wreck but let's not forget he also inherited an 0-16 team there

The "madness" of all these interviews will be Pegula's justification to you and other fans that they looked high and low and felt that Schwartz was the most ready person to come in and get started quickly.
