That he heard from sources that were part of the interview process that Hue Jackson really impressed a team with his interview.

I haven't heard about him interviewing with any other team but the Bills.

I cannot decide if I want Hue Jackson or not. I honestly cannot think of any coach that makes me excited.

I think he knows his stuff but people are saying he is 8-8 with the Raiders is like us saying Marrone is 9-7 with the Bills. Are we settling for more mediocrity, granted that team was terrible on both sides and we were excellent on Defense. Point I am making is I want a guy who will be here for the long haul and can actually get us over that hump.

I don't think you can get an accurate read on a guy when he's with the Raiders organization. So even though he was 8-8 and only coached for one year, being with the Raiders is kind of a limbo situation. How has he been as a coordinator? He's coached a bunch of positions. So that tells me he has a good working knowledge of the game and what talent level is necessary for playing each position.

One of the few guys i am rooting against. I just don't see what makes him a guy who can take us anywhere?

In week 7 vs the Colts, his offense didn't get past the 50 yard line until the fourth quarter. Cmon...

2014 Bengals: 15th for points scored 21st ranked passing 8th ranked rushing
2011 Radiers*: 16th for points scored 18th ranked passing 7th ranked rushing
2010 Raiders: 6th for points scored 23rd ranked passing 2nd ranked rushing
2007 Falcons: 29th for points scored 18th ranked passing 26th ranked rushing
2003 Redskins: 22nd for points scored 21st ranked passing 22nd ranked rushing

* He was the HC of the Raiders and not the OC

In other words the passing game will probably be marginally better but if he keeps with his recent success the running game much better.

Jackson would lose us points per game, no thanks.

I read this one line and said, "No."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue_Jackson

Before joining Oakland, Jackson served as offensive assistant coach for several NFL teams, most notably as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Redskins) under Steve Spurrier (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Spurrier) and the Atlanta Falcons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_Falcons) under Bobby Petrino (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Petrino).

Just passing on the numbers. As it can be read into any way you want but it is interesting that his passing games all rank in the 18-23 rage and recently running games have been in the top 10s and points average middle of the pack. All of which could be viewed a welcome improvement over the 2014 Bills and just what a strong defensive team could use to win with.

Notice something in the numbers I posted above? Jackson's best years have been without working under Spurrier and Petrino.

The fact that he gave up a 1 and a 2 for Carson Palmer makes me a bit leery.
