Yeah the old Raiders coach Callahan, who is really good with the O-line (unlike Doug M.).

Is this a question or do you have any 'sources'?

He read it on another board, speculation on BBMB

The Bills are talking with him, so there's nothing set in stone with other OC's yet.

Regardless, Callahan as the O-line coach would be huge icing on the coaching cake. We're looking at going from almost no NFL at HC / OC to a fairly deep staff. I just hope that all the assistants have assistants so everyone can do their job better.

Trestman......

If the guy could make Josh McCown into a decent QB, he could do a lot with EJ.

Callahan is in DAL. Hard to think he would leave.

I don't disagree. Would be a badass coaching staff.

Did Dallas fire Callahan?

Did Dallas fire Callahan?

A lot of the Dallas coaches contracts ran out after the loss yesterday, including Jason Garrett and Rod Marinelli. Not sure about Callahan, but he might be a free agent.

Roman apparently has signed on as O-Coordinator.
Callahan might come on board in another capacity. We certainly need some help developing the o-line.

Roman has been hired per Alex Marvez

I'd love Callahan as an OL coach.

Indeed.

The coaches in Dallas are pretty much mostly out of contract. Easy pickings.

I hope that the Pegulas have told Ryan to go and get the best positional coaches he knows, and that they will foot the bill. Callahan would definitely be a good hire for O-Line coach, even though he had plenty of talent to work with in Dallas, he's been good at it for years.

Yeah, the possibility part & he still could come to us as a O-line coach. I'd stock us up with as much talent as we can get for coaches, the who's who of coaches actually. We've previously had the who's that of coaching, paid pennies and very obscure to everyone in the world but some local beat reporter in Central NY.

Callahan as oline coach would be a great hire.

If they can start out with a triumvirate of Ryan-Roman-Schwartz, and sprinkle in a couple of position coaches of Callahan's caliber that would make a pretty solid all-star staff.

We need a QB guru as much as an oline guy, though.

Agreed, a solid all-star staff is needed.

Trestman is the best guy out there IMHO. His track record with QBs is pretty remarkable. His QB coach Matt Cavanaugh is half way decent too who used to work under Rex Ryan with the Jets. Cavanaugh was also the OC of the fabled Trent Dilfer lead Ravens too for what it's worth.
