this will be a good hire for EJ AND REX

So now can everyone shut the **** up complaining about this?

Even if you don't like it, it's not like any other option was an absolute flawless home run.

Even St. Cowher has been out of coaching for a long, long time.

At least the Bills went for the home run and didn't hire ****ing Chan Gailey.

Some of you are absolute babies.

I think there alot of people complaining.

To me, this was the best hire of a very mediocre crop of coaches.

People can complain but I'll take Rex over Marrone anyday of the week.

Rex and Roman or Marrone and Hacket?

It's not even debatable.

That really is the bottom line.

This was a free upgrade.

I have a lot of hope for Greg Roman. He has so much more NFL experience than Hackett or Marrone did.

Here is a comment I found that worries me a little:

With reports of Rex hiring Greg Roman, speaking as a Niners fan. I just hope that the offensive play calling issues that plagued Roman in SF don’t follow him to Buffalo. While I did not want to see Harbaugh “mutually parted” I will not miss Roman at all, constant issues with getting play calls in that lead to unnecessary time outs and/or delay of game penalties, unimaginative passing game, inability to make half time adjustments, predictability and an inability to develop a quarterback, all became hallmarks of the Roman lead offense in the last 4 years. I hope for the Bills sake that those problems were more Harbaugh than Roman. All I know for sure is Roman can’t get out of San Fran fast enough. Good luck Bills fans, given Rex’s shortcomings with offensive football I hope he didn’t just hire a guy to run your offense, that sets it back even further than it is now with virtually no QB.

Gee, sounds like we are in for a juggernaut offense.

Well, Boobie is happy because he expects a more run focused offense.

I want that too.

And Frank Reich's offense would've been the Greatest Show on Turd?

I thought you meant about people hiring Roman.

People can continue to complain about Rexy until Rexy starts winning. It's hard to simply think that all is well because we hired a HC that we just owned the last 3 games.

Well that is fair and it is hard to argue with that.

But, I mean, this is a buffalo bills web forum.

What are we supposed to all talk about? Should we all just say "wait and see" and ban all conversations about whether it was a good hire?

Exactly. If you look at our W-L record honestly you realize this team was at best 8-8. The Pats played our closer like a preseason game, there isn't a chance in hell the Bills win that game if they hadn't. Essentially one quarter of our victories came at the expense of the Rex Ryan Jets and they were blowouts. How this hire excites anyone is beyond me.

Unfortunately, thats how I feel now after, Greghead, Malarkey,Jauron, Chan and Morron.

I'm on the fence with Rexy. All he's proven is that his mouth is bigger than he can cash in.
I hope he didn't bring a jewelry cleaner for Bellicheat's rings.

shut up, we beat the pats. If Brady stayed in there , they would have lost by 40. The pats were lucky they brought in their 2nd stringer who we didn't gameplan for. ;)

That's all fair.

Right now I'm happy about it, I think he was the best candidate available.

Whether or not that actually results in any sort of success is of course up in the air.

As a Bills fan I'm inclined to believe that this will make no difference, but that doesn't mean I don't like the hiring.

So are we keeping Scwhartz? Yes or no? I could live with Rex and Roman as long as we kept FAO Schwartz.

I love the fact we have a jump on all the other teams, now. Their still looking for a HC. Bills have a HC and an OC. Now they have their pick of the litter on position coaches.

Couldnt be happier for Roman as Offensive Coordinator.

I consider Roman a run game offensive mastermind.

How quick are people forget. It was his offensive a couple of years ago who set a NFL record vs the Bills for having 300 yard rushing and 300 yards passing in the SAME game.

Also his offensive set another NFL record in 2013 for the least number to turnovers (10) in a season.

The days of running a offensive not playing the players talents is over.

The reason why pepole turned on him this year was because the coach wanted to feature the passing game more with them adding Stevie Johnson to go along with Bolden and Crabtree and Davis and their rookie WR Ellington. Kap **** the bed and Roman got the blame for not running the ball more.

Also a added bonus would be the Bills finally addressing the TE position through free agency and through the draft. Plus we will problaity get San Fran tightend coach Eric Mangini and their offensive line coach and some Ol guards to ffit the system

I am intrigued to see what this guy can do with an upgrade or two on the front wall and some work at QB. I am not enthusiastic about EJ, and I don't think OBD should be either, but I am interested to see what he can do.

So You're not happy with signings such as Chris Williams, Urbik, Rinehart, and Dockery all the while getting rid of studs like Peters and Levitre?

Levitre a stud?

He was better than average in Buffalo but did not play well at all for the Titans after signing a HUGE contract.
