    Marrone getting no play

I find it vindictively comforting that Doug Marrone is getting no sniff for another job, after stiffing us for a short-term cash gain of $4 mil.

He was led to believe he would be a hot commodity for the Falcons and Jets jobs.

Falcons and Jets are now hot and heavy for Todd Bowles, and the loser gets Dan Quinn.
Bears are almost a lock for John Fox.
Broncos will likely promote Adam Gase, if they want to keep Manning.
49ers is a possibility but not likely, going from Harbaugh to Marrone? No way.
Raiders? LOL best of luck there Dougie.

At least he can enjoy his 2 million dollars after tax and get a college football job.

    Dougie!

    Re: Marrone getting no play

A Jets beat guy for ESPN Radio in NYC said according to sources within the Jets his interview was beyond bad, it was destructive.

I don't know what that means but it sounds bad.

theres always surprises, i still think he gets one of the jobs. but yeah it would be pretty freakin sweet if he got left out in the cold after what happened - especially considering we basically made a big upgrade from his leaving

I completely agree, but he will get a coordinator job somewhere, i just want him to stay away from the Jets.

Maybe he will, taking the Mike Mularkey path, get an OC job (not that he was stellar in turning our offense around), then get another chance to HC somewhere after a few years. But at least Mularkey is a likeable guy. Marrone by all accounts is a total dickhead.

But that means he's starting from scratch with his career, when he already had the HC job in his hand and could've stayed. It's not like he was getting fired. He just got greedy.

Rule 1: Don't screw with Billionaires and their money. He screwed the Pegulas, the network did the rest. Dougie should have asked Ted Nolan for advice before he did what he did. There is always the MAC......

lol the NY press went after Marrone like a Great Dane after a soup bone and they're still not done. What's next? Tip off his wife that he's having an affair? Yikes
