It is always easier to clean up the mess in your neighbor's backyard than the one in your own. That was part of the message Jerry Angelo conveyed when he was introduced as the Bears' general manager two summers ago. It was Angelo's way of thinking that his perspective as an outsider made overhauling a club in disarray simpler--or at least allowed him to chart a path for success more quickly.
