Looks like he's joining his buddy Marrone over in Jacksonville as their new QB coach. Sorry Bortles...

Why he would have any loyalty to Marrone is puzzling.

Must be St Louis wasn't too impressed, even canceling a scheduled second interview for their OC.

His buddy Marrone sure did help him out. What a joke.

I wish Hackett luck. Hope he becomes successful in the future while I wish Marrone nothing but failure in football

Maybe QB coach will be Hackett's NFL niche. OC/QB coach sure wasn't. Maybe he needs seasoning, and exp, I don't know. I'm just glad he's not here anymore.

More likely scenario: Jags put the take it or leave it QB coach offer on the table whereas the Rams's pool of second interview list is a bit more intimidating for Hackett.

Well when you think about it, the only reason Hackett is in the NFL was because of Marrone. Marrone quit thinking he was getting the NYJ job and thought he's take his boy along. I bet Hackett had some pretty pissed off days recently and now he is a Flippin QB coach on one of the worst teams.

They'll all get booted when Jacksonville rides the bus this year again anyway. Bradley is hitting year 3 and they have 4 wins then 3 wins. That team is not going to hit 8-8 in a division with Indy and Houston and I don't think 5-11 or 6-10 are going to impress Khan any for what he's put into the team and the stadium.

Jags hired a bunch of coaches from Oakland and then hired our two worst coaches. That franchise has really bad leadership at the top.

Other NFL OCs have about a decade more experience coaching at the NFL level than Hackett does. He was too wet behind the ears to be an effective OC in the NFL. Being a QB coach might be a good thing for him. I hope this works out for him because he seemed like a good guy.
