But the artist said he could fit only one number. In the original sketch, the tattooist had drawn the No. 8.The coach looked at it and made a suggestion: “Well, might as well make it a ‘6,’ not an ‘8,’ because our quarterback is ‘6.’”
Before that moment, Ryan said, he never intended on getting a tattoo of his wife wearing the uniform of then-Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez (http://topics.wsj.com/person/S/Mark-Sanchez/6912), who would later become a national punch line because of his turnover problems.
