The Buffalo Bills have officially made their first transaction since the official end of the NFL season. The team announced that they claimed wide receiver Justin Brown off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday morning.

Brown, a 2013 sixth-round selection by Pittsburgh, played in eight games with the Steelers over the past two seasons. During that span, the 6-foot-3, 209-pound Brown amassed 12 receptions for 94 yards. The wideout is 23 years old.

Brown joins Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, Marcus Thigpen and Deonte Thompson as the wide receivers officially under contract with the Bills. Marcus Easley is an impending unrestricted free agent, Chris Hogan is an exclusive rights free agent, while both Caleb Holley and Tobais Palmer were signed to reserve/futures contracts shortly after the end of the regular season.

I'm surprised Sexy Rexy didn't ask to sign David Nelson instead

FYI, here's the listing of players signed to futures deals:

Not reflected on that site is a recent reserve/futures signing by CIN - RB James Wilder Jr.

With a backfield in flux, BUF should keep an eye open come camp cuts. Here's the requisite rah-rah video, with the usual background rap noise:

Always liked his potential at Penn State. Saw him as a high-end possession receiver, but he never really put it together except at Oklahoma.

He's 23 and I'd take a flyer on him in camp.
