View Full Version : Wondering If Incognito Had To Explain Himself To Kim Pegula

He lives by the Pegula home in Boca. Bills supposedly talked to him there.

After his incidents with the Asian trainer and girl at the golf outing, I find it hard to believe this was strictly a Rex signing with only a football need in mind. The Pegula's had to know his past before signing off on this.

The Bills knew even this cheap 1 year deal would stir some backlash and the NFL has suffered a horrid year in the PR dept. already.

What's he been up to this past year ? Rehab/Therapy ? One would think more to the story needs to come out by Incognito himself or the Bills.

Sorry for the spelling errors in the title. Please correct.

Not for it or against it but more info needed.

No need to worry about my going after the Asian trainer Mrs. Pegula. Won't happen again .But our new OL coach is interesting. That crybaby Cutler made him cry. Can't wait to meet that wuss in the locker room

To me a more interesting dynamic will be between Roman and Incognito. As Roman has worked with Jonathan Martin quite a bit at both Stanford and in San Francisco.

I obviously have no inside info, but I can't imagine roman had no input in this signing. Just speculation on my oart

Maybe Kim didn't want him, but Terry and Rexy did, so now T is sleeping on the couch.

Which I have no real issue as I kind of agree with what Whaley said about his position in the end of the season presser which is basically he brings the bodies/talent into the building and it's the coaches role to make it work. Granted I do want my GM and coaches to be on the same page as to bringing in guys that fit their schemes. Incognito fits the power run scheme so kudos for Whaley on that.

That's actually my single biggest concern with Whaley...heard the same from Nix with he and Gailey also. Pretty ****ty business model to follow IMO, the GM and coach absolutely have to be on the same page.

One of my favorite stories from the glory days was Polian speaking about how the team acquired Steve Christie. When the Plan B lists came out and Polian noticed Christie was available, he said he literally ran down the hall to Marv's office and said (paraphrasing) "The kicker in Tampa can be ours, you want him?" That's the way it's supposed to work.

I have a feeling Whaley does more than just bring bodies as think he does get feedback from his coaches. As we brought in Lawson when we had a 3-4ish DC in Pettine and then brought in Rivers when we had a 4-3ish DC in Schwartz.

I agree & at the PC when Rex was introduced, Whaley said he & Rex could finish each others sentences because they are like minded about the way a team should be built.

well we know there was tension btwn marrone and whaley, which is pretty normal at times for those jobs. after seeing lord doug in operation regarding his opt out i think its safe to give ole napster the benefit of the doubt for now. tho i have to admit, whaley does strike me as a bit of a huckster, which isnt all bad as a gm but could also be grating if you had to deal with it all the time. for now whaley gets a new lease and has a chance to show he deserves to stay as the long term investment the bills made in him

I think Kim Pegula has a good sense of humor and doesn't have thin skin.

Does anyone really think he and his teammates were being serious?

They were joking.

I hate double standards.

Why is it okay for a black player to say the N-word, but it's not okay for a white guy to make a joke out of the word?

It's a joke.

True, but then there is the 'we need a red zone threat wide receiver' that resulted in acquiring a player that the head coach had a poor past record with and never got out of the dog house. I still hold that on Marrone, but considering how things played out my speculation would be if Whaley had consulted Marrone about Mike Williams specifically his response probably would have been in the 'no ****ing way' range.

I'm more concerned with why Pegulas are good judges of character for NFL players. They were pretty involved at first with wooing NHL ones and that didn't go well. Should have been what their football specialist was doing except they didn't hire one, and now his job is pretty much not having influence until 2016, when the thought will be we need wait until 2017.

You don't have to watch "Leave it to Beaver" so much to know Eddie Haskell's unless you're figuring if worse comes to worse you can tank 5 years, which in the NFL is probably 10 and 3 organizational rollovers.

But that's ok, we're on the NHL clock I guess.

Well, the Pegula's issued a statement about the signing of Incognito.

And yes Incognito met with Kim as well as Terry, Rex & Whaley.

The Pegula's saw fit to give Incognito a chance which should be enough for Bills fans.

If it is not, too bad for you, deal with it.
