Jaguars Interested In Trading The Number 3 Pick

    Article mentions Doug Whaley too.

If Winston and Mariota don't go off the board with the first two picks to the Bucs and Titans respectively, does Whaley pick up the phone?

A 1st round draft pick in 2016 is mandatory, but what else would Whaley have to give up?

The Jags would want the Bills 2nd and 3rd round picks this year on top of next year's first.

    A 2016 1st round pick, and this year's 2nd and 3rd.

If that's what it would take to move up to the number 3 spot and the Bills land Winston or Mariota, I'd be cool with that.

Unfortunately, it will probably take a lot more to move up so high, but you never know. All depends on who makes the best offer.

Should Whaley make an offer for Winston or Mariota if one of the two is still on the board and the Jags want to make a deal?

I'd rather have Peyton Manning. He wouldn't cost the Bills 3 draft picks.

Until that happens, Doug Whaley seriously has his back up against the wall in 2015.

If the Bills don't make the playoffs in 2015, Whaley will likely get fired.

If Whaley makes a big move and lands the Bills next franchise quarterback, mission accomplished.

After selecting a first-round quarterback in 2014, Jacksonville Jaguars GM David Caldwell has options with the No. 3 overall pick in this year's draft. Does that mean a trade could be a possibility?

No QB worth selling the farm for in this draft.

I read the Jets could look to move up to draft Mariota.

I would be fine giving up #2 & #3 this year & #1 in 2016 to move up, but no more than that.

Jacksonville's top 3 needs are tackle, cornerback, and running back.

I was surprised to hear that the Bills were looking at possible replacements for Seantrel Henderson. If the Bills sign a right tackle in free agency, Henderson is perfect trading material to Jacksonville. Henderson can be reunited with Marrone, awe.

Hopefully Marrone will convince Jacksonville that Henderson is essentially worth a first round draft pick.

The 2015 NFL Draft first-round order is set. Take a look at the draft needs for each team, including those that qualified for the playoffs. Which positions are those teams going to look toward in the upcoming draft?

Mariotta can't huddle & Winston may still be charged with crimes.

Not to the point of risking that many assets to take a chance on this year's fad picks. Regardless of what some think, IMO this team is more than just a QB away from competing for a title, maybe even making the playoffs period, especially with the new coaching regime.

Who would be? BUF's wacky history of draft trades could be fodder for a Saturday Night Live skit.

If Whaley even looks at the phone, they need pepper spray him, tase him, fire him, rough him up, dope him up and send him to Hong Kong (in a properly vented container), bulldoze his house, forward his mail to Myanmar, flatten the tires on his car and dump snow on his right of ways and complain about them so he is fined. I'd tie his laces together too so when he gets out of the container (properly vented) he falls down.

I feel strongly about this as you might notice.

Just because Mariotta has not huddled does not mean he can't learn how to.

Only 4 INTs last year & 4 INTs the year before.

42 TDs last year & 31 TDs the year before.

I would take the gamble he could learn how to huddle up.

Same knock on Bryce Petty, the guy never took a snap from under center.

But he can be had in the 4th round. Hmmm...

Neither one of them will have a career as an NFL starting QB. When will you learn that you don't take FSU QBs. How many have to be draft failures for you to understand that? Ponder, Manuel, Winston....

Mariota has better numbers than Petty, but I would draft Petty in the 3rd if he is there.

With the lack of GOOD QBs in the NFL, Petty could be drafted at the bottom of the first.

Doug Whaley is stuck between a rock and a hard place as the Rolling Stones would say.

                              What's the man to do?

I think he has to follow through on EJ Manuel and continue to surround him with the best talent possible instead of doubling down and going all in with another huge gamble. Whaley took a gamble on Manuel, and Marrone didn't help.

That means drafting a TE and RB in rounds 2 and 3, and fixing the o-line in free agency.

A lot of people including myself have said that EJ Manuel can't fix his accuracy issues.

The only possible way I can think of to remedy Manuel's accuracy woes is to build an army around him.

If he's comfortable in the pocket and trusts his o-line, the accuracy might follow.
