According To @kevinoDandC Mark Pysyk has collapsed during a pick-up basketball game and been taken by ambulance to the hospital

"Pysyk was fairly alert and his vital signs were close to normal when he was transported by paramedics, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who was at court side at Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester Community War Memorial."

Hope he's alright.

Again, like my cousin. Played all sports, healthy, ball boy for the st Louis rams actually. Sad stuff. Glad it doesn't sound too serious.

Was he having seizures?

"He's got a few more tests to get done," GM Tim Murray said. "It doesn't seem, thank God, that it's serious but who knows what serious is? You take a seizure that serious. We just want him to have the best care, take his time, feel comfortable when he wants to come back. Certainly we're going to do everything we can to rule out everything that we can." Pysyk hasn't returned to practice yet. Mar. 3 - 9:36 am et

Mark Pysyk is scheduled to see a doctor in Buffalo Thursday afternoon and his return to game action has been put on hold.
Pysyk returned to full practice (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/hockeyozone/2015/03/19/pysyks-return-to-amerks-on-hold/25018757/) this week but hasn't felt all that well afterward, coach Chadd Cassidy said.
As a result, the team wants to have him examined to determine if whatever might be ailing him is related to his Feb. 28 collapse during a three-on-three basketball game with teammates.
Pysyk, 23, momentarily lost consciousness during the medical emergency and Buffalo Sabres general manager Tim Murray characterized it as a seizure at a March 2 news conference.

pysyk suffered a minor setback, and they seem to be being extra cautious. they dont believe its anything major. still, probably a wise move on his part and the sabres part.

Nothing minor about it...

Pulling a hammy is minor.

Passing out and having a seizure is a very big deal, It could be something that stays with him for life.

I wish him the best.

Sounds like the sabres are gonna keep him out the rest of the season, though tests came back showing nothing wrong.

Some news. But not really news as this subject seems to have passed And pysyk played again.

But it seems as though the collapse was due to dehydration. Nothing more. So it sounds like no lingering health issues of any kind.
