Bears Coach John Fox, and GM Ryan Pace Quiet on Cutler

They may as well admit that the Bears are in major rebuilding mode, and Cutler is not going to be apart of their plans in 2015.

If Cutler was no doubt the starter next year, the Bears would not have recently met with Josh McCown.

Jimmy Clausen is the current backup QB on the Bears roster, so why would they talk with McCown?

Is the writing on the wall in Chicago?

If the Bears release Cutler, the Bills will try to sign him.

Chicago Bears coach John Fox and general manager Ryan Pace didn't offer clarity on the status of Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall at the combine on Wednesday. Will the veterans be back with the team?

"Like I said, we're not up against a deadline," Fox said. "My experience has always been that you need to gather the information and in turn you usually make better decisions. We're in that process and we'll keep you posted."
New general manager Ryan Pace was equally lukewarm, opting not to say that Cutler was the starter for 2015.
Fox also admitted to meeting with Josh McCown.

Cutler would be a drastically better QB for us.

Last I checked Jimmy Clausen is set to be an UFA in 9 days and that's why the Bears talked to McCown. I love how the media likes to spin stories. The problem with Cutler is and has always been is he good enough? Throughout his career he's put up great stats and yet he's only been part of a playoff team for one of his NFL seasons. Not a glowing report for a guy we hope to take us to the playoffs.

I was against signing Jay Cutler until they started taking serious looks at bums like Josh McCown. If that's the caliber of QB they are taking a long long at, give me Cutler any day.

Not good when the kicker starts talking smack about his QB.

Even though Jay Cutler was the Bears nominee for the Walter Payton Man of The Year Award, Jay Feely doesn't think he's a leader.

Jay Feely said, “Jay Cutler can win on the field. But he would be so much better and the team would be so much better if you’re a leader off the field as well."

If Cutler won’t lead, Feely said, it’s up to the Bears’ front office to surround him with coaches and players who will.

If Jay is in a position to hand the ball off 30-35 times every game, Kiko approves. But.. if he is expected to win games on his arm.. please no. he reminds Kiko of someone like Eli Manning, a QB who can get the job done, but needs leaders around him. which Kiko thinks he would have with Eric Wood, Cordy Glenn, Fred Jackson, Sammy Watkins, Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams, Mario, Kiko, Gilmore, Williams, Bradham, and whoever else Buffalo may bring in.

Rex's tattoo would be relevant again!

I think Rex Ryan and Greg Roman are enamoured with the thought of having Jay Cutler as the Bills starting quarterback in 2015.

No draft picks required. The Bears are going to wait and see if any team is willing to fork over a draft pick or three, but I think the whole league knows that the Bears are set to release Jay Cutler very soon.

The Coach and GM have already thrown Cutler under the bus, so I don't think it's possible for them to repair the intentional damage.

And the OC who threw him under the bus is now on our staff.

Can the Bears cut him? He has 25.5 million guaranteed over the next two years. That's a hell of a cap hit.

                    reminds Kiko of Fitzpatrick almost.

They contacted McCown to be the backup since Clausen will be gone.

                      Non-story.

Why would they ever let Cutler go? There is not a close other option out there. LOL.
