A guy we haven't discussed much...if we lose Hughes could he fill in unexpectedly like Bradham has done for us at LB? We can only hope he's another gem Whaley found for us to be a surprise answer to replace Hughes. He showed some promise at times with limited duty.

Former DE who become an out of place OLB commit in Schwartz 43. May be a better fit as a 34 OLB. 6'4, 245 ish.

Wasn't a huge pass rusher coming out of FAU. I think only had around 10.5 career sacks.

I think he's more of a SLB in the mold of Manny Lawson in the 3-4. He'll set the edge in the run game and collapse the pocket against the pass. I don't expect to see him on the field on 3rd and long.

If they don't re-sign Hughes, I suspect they draft an edge rusher or two. It's supposed to be a good draft for that position. It's possible they sign someone else for a more reasonable contract that what Hughes might get.

I still think Bradham replaces Hughes, and either Spikes or Harris will be here for '15. Mario-Spikes/Harris-Brown-Bradham with Johnson, Lawson, and Powell as depth, plus maybe a rookie depending on how many they keep.

If in replacing Hughes you mean Bradham will drop into coverage, I agree. He seems like the best option for coverage amongst the remaining pool of LBs due to his superior movement skills. Bradham does not really fit the profile of OLBs Rex had in NY (Coples, Pace, Thomas, etc.)
