". . . the 2004 draft class will feature a relatively strong DE corps with an unusually large number of quality full-sized DE, plus a solid contingent of tweener Freeney wannabes."

This assessment comes from the Great Blue North Draft Report

http://www.gbnreport.com/playerintros.htm

as part of a capsule description of of one of the "tweener Freeney wannabes.

We know Buffalo has several possibilities at LDE and an OK starter at RDE. If after the season this area still needs work, it looks like the '04 draft is made to order.

If the Bills finish in the top 10 in the NFL like everyone hopes, it will be interesting what chips TD will play.

With some franchise DE's out there, will he pull ther trigger on a McGahee/Henry trade sooner rather than later to move up and fill a glaring need on the Bills?

Now there's a tongue twister! There are some good prospects at DE out there. Claude Harriott from Pittsburgh has good size (6-4, 270) and can make big plays on the other side of the line. I sure wouldn't mind seeing him at RDE for the Bills. There's a kid that Miami has in their recruiting class who is also supposed to be pretty good at rushing the passer, but is one of those "tweener Freeney wannabes" you mentioned.

I think "tweener Freeney wannabes" is the term the Great Blue North Draft Report used. I was just quoting.

He will be if Buffalo trades a running back for a top ten pick.
