To the Chicago Bears for Jay Cutler.

"Holy @#%t"

I know, right? Just kind of dawned on me.

Chicago just got rid of Cutler's favorite target in Brandon Marshall for a 5th round draft pick.

I think they're in tank mode. Their defense is so bad and old, there's no way they can win in 2015.

Bills fans would be happy to get Cutler, Bears fans would be happy to see Cutler gone.

Win win?

After Bears trade Brandon Marshall, is Jay Cutler next to go?

No team will trade for Cutler & his contract. He's either stuck in Chicago or gets released & then the signing team can negotiate their own contract.

Bills are not taking on that contract. Do you really have to make a new thread for every random thought that comes into your head?

The Bills just made a player for player trade with McCoy and Alonso.

Latest word is that McCoy and the Bills are very close to a NEW CONTRACT.

Hello! Let me say that again.

New contract. There, that's better.

Sources tell @FOXSports1 (https://twitter.com/FOXSports1) LeSean McCoy and the Bills are close on a new contract. Expected to be agreed to before trade is official Tues.

McCoy is getting an extension. Cutler would need to take a big pay CUT! It's not happening!

But they're good comedy, so keep it up!

Contracts are never really set in NFL stone. They are often renegotiated.

When a player gets traded to another team, their contract goes out the window.

Which is why the Bills are currently signing LeSean McCoy to a brand new contract.

Thanks.

No, it absolutely does not. Both parties have to be willing to renegotiate the players current contract. McCoy probably wants to because he only has 1 mil guaranteed for the next 3 years. Cutler is in a different boat altogether.

You said the magic word!

Renegotiate.

If the Bears choose not to have Cutler's services in 2015, do you honestly think any team is going to pay him $19 million?

No, but that's not Cutler's problem, it's the Bears problem.

An, 'extension,' really?

If Peyton Manning can take a $4 million pay CUT, it could be happening sooner that you think is possible.

Tom Brady had a pay CUT too.

But of course, Jay Cutler is immune to such things.

Why so serious?

Even if traded, the problem stays with his new team, not with Cutler. Cutler can get his money if he wants it.

I could see Cutler re-structuring. I could see him getting cut. I really can't see a one-to-one trade for EJ.

All he has to do is stand on the NFL corner and demand his own price, right?

You already admitted that contracts can be renegotiated, so why can't Jay Cutler's contract be renegotiated with the Buffalo Bills?

Because he's just that good?

Manning and Brady can take a pay cut, but Cutler can't?

That doesn't make sense. Cutler isn't better than Brady or Manning.

Do you think any team in the NFL would pay Cutler his current salary if traded?

Please answer that question.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were a couple of teams willing to. I don't know who they are though.

My only point is that if Cutler wants to get paid, he can. He doesn't have to take a pay cut and I don't see why he would be willing to do that.

After 15 years at sea, I think we're all a little loco en el cabeza.

Would you trade EJ for Cutler and his mult-bagillion dollar contract?

Maybe because he didn't play so great last year?

He was good, but not worth $19 million.

Cutler is above average, but he's not great either.

Are you willing to take a pay cut at your job if you under perform even though your contract doesn't require you to?

I wouldn't, **** that.

You realize that the new owner of Cutler's contract, if traded for, is required to abide by every clause in his current contract?

Holy crap.

LeSean is benefiting from a new contract, as there will probably be more money guaranteed than the 1 million that's currently guaranteed. LeSean in no way is being forced to sign a new contract.

Good question.

EJ Manuel is a mystery.

Some people have said that Manuel's progress was stymied by Marrone and his ultra conservative approach on offense.
