The Jaguars (http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/teams/page/JAC/jacksonville-jaguars) are close to a deal (https://twitter.com/JasonPhilCole/status/574626150783270913) with impending free-agent tight end Julius Thomas (http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/players/playerpage/1755056/julius-thomas), according to Bleacher Report.

The top tight end on the market, Thomas caught 12 touchdowns in 2014 for the second consecutive season, racking up 489 yards on 43 receptions. The Broncos chose to assign the franchise tag to wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, putting the tight end on a path to free agency.
Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis is in the final year of a five-year, $34-million deal. The team would gain $6.8 million in cap space if it chose to part ways with Lewis.

Good for them.

Shady approves.

Marrone will probably relegate him to the scout team.

When Shady read that Julius was close to a deal, his first thought was Jax will also going to sign Spiller.

Spiller, Robinson, Thomas, and Lewis, with Blackmon, and that guy who caught 2 TD's against Philly (Hurns is it?), is a good group of weapons for Blake Bortles

Thomas made no bones about it a week ago, it's all about the money. Guess he's proving that.

I'm afraid Thomas is about to find out that he is another product of Peyton. Hopefully he enjoys being paid nicely in obscurity, anyway.

I can think of worse things than getting paid for past performance/circumstances.

Marrone will make him a blocking TE.

With the bills being active in FA'cy I wonder what Marrone is thinking.

See you in the UK, loser.
