RUMOR: Dolphins to cut LB Dannell Ellerbe

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins plan to release linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.

I'd expect the Ravens to be interested in having him back tbh. He was one of the guys their owner mentioned a little while back, when talking about how they can't keep everyone they wanted to, due to the cap, and guys getting better offers elsewhere, that they simply can't match at the time. Iirc, Kruger was one of the others mentioned.

He's been hurt the last 2 years, the Phins LB's were possibly league worst last year.

Fine if he comes cheap to take Spikes' role, but I prefer Spikes.

IDK why a team like the Colts wouldn't sign Spikes. They're so soft on defense and even if he only sees the field on run downs he's solid.
