LeSean McCoy got a new deal after his trade to Buffalo. Expectation is Matt Cassel gets a similar sort of multi-year deal (not the same $)

Blah.

I am still holding out hope for Nick Foles.

If it's advantageous for the cap I get it. And a few extra years is alright. We need stability for a back up

Would hope that some of these deals are advantageous to the team in terms of saving money/cap if they cut them at various points down the line. Especially this deal.

I don't know how it could be advantageous to the cap, unless they are going to add a couple of years and pay him a pittance...he's only due $4.75 this year.

Doug Whaley is feeling his seat warm after the Bill Polian debacle. He is going to spend everything he can and punt our cap hits down the road in an effort to make the playoffs.

or he can offer longer tenure with less pay, and more guaranteed money... Cassel knows the writing was on the wall in Minny, he wasn't going to find anything longer then a 1 year deal, we can offer him 3-4 years, with him knowing he is clipboard holder 1st.

Why not? If it creates more cap space, who cares?

As long as about 2 of it's guaranteed, it's a good deal :D

I bet they want that cap figure down to about 3 this year. 5M next and escalates from there, let Cassell bet on himself.

I think he was talking about not liking Nick Foles.

Which is pushing cap hits into the future, like I said.
