Five years ago, safety Taylor Mays (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5760/taylor-mays) was upset (http://blog.seattlepi.com/football/2010/04/23/taylor-mays-not-happy-with-pete-carroll/) when his former USC coach didn’t make Mays a first-round pick, taking Earl Thomas (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5703/earl-thomas) instead. Now that Mays is approaching free agency, Pete Carroll likely will pass, again.
Shady remembers what an animal Mays was back at USC! everyone thought of Mays as the next coming of Sean Taylor.. Shady wouldn't mind if he was brought in to replace Searcy, or compete with Williams for the job, Rex seems to like safety's with a little bit of size to them, Mays matches that quality very well.
