Bills source tells me Fred Jackson "isn't going anywhere." Second source tells me Terry Pegula got involved. Stay tuned.

The heart of the Bills should retire a Bill. Fred and Pegula are both class acts.
It's a great time to be a Bills' fan.

Sure hope it's true and they waste zero effort and money on Powell.

I don't like the owner getting involved 99% of the time, but this is the 1% that I understand. Let's face it - at this point, Bryce Brown is probably better than FJ. Jackson may find himself deactivated on gamedays, but we need him in that locker room.

Agree with Mace. Don't waste effort on Powell regardless of FJ's status. Roll with McCoy, BB, and Dixon.

Happy Fred is staying, but I don't think that precludes Powell signing with the Bills.

And at this point in time, Powell is a better RB than Fred.

Sadly, no he isn't. He's a better special teams guy than Fred. Enough said.

I see what you mean, but I don't get the impression Pegula is a meddler or an idiot like Snyder.
I respect a guy who sees the value in a leader with the character and charisma of Fred.
It makes me feel better about Pegula that he stepped in to make sure Fred stays.

Last year Powell averaged 4.3 yds per carry while Fred averaged 3.7 yds per carry.

You are WRONG. At this point, Powell is a better RB than Fred. And he is pretty good on special teams as well.

Powell might be better than Jackson, but YPC is not the indicator.

If it is, then Powell is better than McCoy too (4.2 average last year)

Well, it is widely acknowledged last year was a down year for McCoy.

Still, 4.2 average for 1300 yds is still pretty damn good in my book.

And last year is only the 2nd time in Fred's career he was under 4 yds per carry.

Like I said, I think there is room for both Fred & Powell, just get rid of that stupid kick off specialist.

Peter Griffin is still one of the best DTs in the NFL, so this won't be his last chance. But unless Fred can stay injury free, I think this will be it for him (I haven't seen the supposed dropoff, he's still the second best RB on the team and his success has always been due to his vision - which hasn't declined).

And your weird love for Kelsay is still weird.

On 33 total attempts. But ok, to use your same basic general idea, Jackson had more rushing td's, more catches, more receiving yards, more rushing yards, more yards from scrimmage, more receiving touchdowns, a longer longest run, a longer longest catch.

So either you're stuck with Powell wasn't good enough to run more than twice per game total, or he's not anywhere near as good.

How many times did Powell do this last year as opposed to the aged Jackson ....

So anyway....
