View Full Version : Bills targeting TE Clay and FB Felton

It sounds like there's still a lot of strong interest in Charles Clay despite the transition tag. If he's their top target it won't be cheap and I would guess he'd end up being our top free agent signing. It's my understanding that they'd have to wait 7 days to see if they get him. That seems restrictive and challenging in how they approach the rest of free agency.

I've seen in multiple places that FB Jerome Felton is likely to sign here too. It sounds like a deal could already be in place and that it will be a pretty big contract for a FB.

Felton is a 6 foot 250 lb. hammer who led Adrian Peterson for several years. He'll be 29 by opening day but has a few good years left. Great blocker.

McCoy would love having him.

It seems like getting Roman everything he needs for a strong running game is a top priority.

That it does... this team is going to be significantly different from what it was just two years ago on offense.

I'd like to get Clay but not if it means status quo on the OL.

It doesn't sound like there are many good (read: expensive enough to be impacted by chasing Clay) options left with Bulaga re-signing and Iupati headed to Arizona. Luckily, we still have the draft and we took some young kids last year who will hopefully have some better OL coaching this season.

I do expect a versatile vet guy to be signed though.

I think they've made it pretty clear that improving the OL is a top priority. I don't think it has to be one or the other. If they need extra money for an O-lineman and Clay, there are moves they can make.

Are you guys ready for a Felton - Boobie backfield?

Saints are apparently shopping TE Jimmy Graham. I assume that's what EDS is referring to.

Allegedly Saints open to trading Jimmy Graham.

Nothing alleged about it.

He's going to Seattle for Max Unger and a 1st.

Felton is done. And some fan snapped a pic purportedly of Pegs and Ryan in Boca on the I95, so maybe Clay is getting done too.
