Saints reached agreement with former Bills RB CJ Spiller. Saints backfield getting crowded: Spiller, Mark Ingram, Khiry Robinson.

I'm glad we don't have to face the chip on his shoulder if he landed in afc east

I wish things had worked out for him here, but I'm glad he's not in the AFC. I hope he can stay healthy.

CJ was a model citizen and seems like a really good kid. But what a major disappointment as a player. He showed flashes of absolute brilliance, but not nearly enough flashes to offset his below average play and endurance problems.

I wish him well, but I don't expect him to do much, other than maybe on special teams.

I wonder if he gets more than the 4.5 we offered?

wow. what? what are the Saints doing? They have to ditch Grubbs and Graham and cheap kenny stills but they can pay $4+ million / year to two separate running backs?

I like the fit in their offense - maybe he can be the Sproles receiving type and become the player he should be.

Happy he's in the NFC. Plus he is going somewhere where his skill set will be put to good use.

The Saints may have to release RG Jahri Evans to make cap space for C.J. Spiller.

It seems like something almost has to happen w/ Jahri Evans and his contract in next 24 hours, or there's not room for Spiller.

He was a good kid. It wasn't his fault that our coaches never seemed to know how to use him or that Fred Jackson became a stud. I hope this works out for him.

The New Orleans Saints continued their extreme makeover with another flurry of moves Friday.

They signed former Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller, traded receiver Kenny Stills to the Miami Dolphins for linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and a third-round draft pick, and released backup cornerback Corey White.

The Stills trade was the biggest surprise among Friday's moves since he's a young, cheap player on the rise.

If that's the case, I hope we can land him.

Unfortunately, the Saints are going to suck big-time.

In that division they can afford to suck. The Bucs are a disaster and the Falcons have tons of cap but done nothing to improve themselves and the Panthers aren't significantly better than the Saints.

Exactly! CJ was lucky to get the same value contract from the Saints that the Bills offered him.

EJ wanted to stay in Buffalo & said so a number of times.

But he wanted to be paid more money than he was worth.

If the Bills had not traded for McCoy, I think CJ would have come back to the Bills & accepted their offer.

But after that trade, the Bills moved on & CJ had to take the best deal he could get.
