With the addition of Harvin on ST maybe Buffalo drafts a CB and McKelvin is expendable. Not that I think it's the right move but it could be part of the thinking.
I wonder if McKelvin is a possible cut

Re: I wonder if McKelvin is a possible cut
I might be in a minority, but I think McKelvin is a really good player at a reasonable price. Whether McKelvin or Graham is considered our 3rd CB, they're essentially a starter in today's NFL with your 3rd CB usually taking anywhere from 60-70% of the defensive snaps. We always have injuries at CB and never seem to have great depth. I wouldn't get rid of any of our CB's at this point. I don't think you can expect a rookie to come in and replace McKelvin.

McKelvin is about as solid as a #2 corner gets, and he is relatively inexpensive. No way they cut him, especially with our glaring hole at the one safety position."Miami played pretty damn good today and still got their ass kicked."

Robey is really good in the slot and I don't see much drop off. That would put our best 5 DBs on the field for most of the plays.

McKelvin is OK. He never really became a dominant corner to justify his draft status, but he's a serviceable starter.
I highly doubt we could find someone in the draft who could step in and play at McKelvin's level. The only way that I see this happening is if some FA that we have to have becomes available and we need to find cap room.

I sure don't think so. Imho, he played his best game under Pettine which means he'll be studly under Ryan. I liked McKelvin not at all until he played his game under Pettine, so I'm thinking he's probably just short of awesome under Ryan.
