    Im growing tired of Clay-bo

If you're trying to use the Bills as leverage take a hike.

Dear Bills, don't wait on him if other deals open up. He's not that special.

If he signs great. I'll be glad to have him. If he doesn't we can find other receiving TE options without that much trouble.

I don't consider him to have any impact on whether we were successful in free agency either way.

They have to produce an offer sheet first. Thus far they haven't.

Didn't want him then, don't want him now, or next week. He isn't worth the combined time, effort and money.

I could take him or leave him.

At this point, with all the weapons we have on offense, it may be more prudent to sign a TE who is a blocking specialist. I've always liked Gresham too, if they're looking for another receiver.

            Let's trade for Lee Smith.

Gray, Gragg and a draft pick is still better than Chandler.

Yeah...I don't think there's a TE in the NFL that I'd rather have the ball in his hands vs. guys like Sammy, Harvin, McCoy, and Woods.

Get a blocking TE-dump off safety valve type.

i actually really like what we saw from Gray last year. i thought he played well.

i will say that i think Clay is a very good player that will only get better in the next few years. i watched a lot of miami games because clay was my back up TE in fantasy, and he looked very good at time. that offense wasnt fun to watch, but hes a very athletic pass catcher.

He really is, but he's not Tony Gonzalez in his prime, and the whole drawn out process of maneuvering for him like it was a crucial chess game kind of baffles me. By now I'm not sure what else they're waiting for unless they're in the process of outsmarting themselves shamefully about it because someones ego (can't imagine who), insists he's a must have.

My only theory on this is that the Bills low balled him, he thought he'd get a big contract from Cleveland or Miami and that never happened...and now he's in limbo. With the money that we spend on him in cap space, we might be able to get starting competition at OG, OT, DB, and LB and DL depth. At this point I rather have that than a TE. If we are going to be "Ground and Pound" I rather have the game breakers like Sammy, Woods, and Harvin get those touches the 20-25 pass attempts that the Bills might have per game than a 260 lb. TE.

I haven't even heard they made him an offer. That would set the clock ticking on his transition tag.

I would think that that's the whole reason that he wasn't officially signed. He wasn't getting the big money that he thought he would be offered anywhere that he went. I'm sure they talked money in B-lo with Whaley and Co. and Clay's people, but if Clay signed on the dotted line with the Bills' low ball offer he's stuck in that contract with either Buffalo or Miami and can't shop himself around. It's pure conjecture and I have no insiders that deliver Chinese food to OBD that heard something. Just using my business senses.

At this point the Bills should just make an offer regardless to at least make Miami pay more. If they decline, great. If they match, then so be it. I don't see Clay as a make or break player.

Vic Carucci reported earlier that no offer has been made yet. It's apparently coming tomorrow. Buffalo is basically negotiating a contract for clay for Miami right now.
