Been in and out here the past few days. But don't see a thread about this. Would this be the final missing piece of the o-line?

He's old, but was just a two-time pro-bowler and an All-Pro in 2013. And blocked for shady.

I read somewhere that that dried up after Philly signed Demarco Murray.

I've seen Mathis and Evans mentioned as possible trade targets in the last few days.

I would love to get both of them.

Makes sense, but the BR article was only 2 days ago. Maybe they didn't see your source.

could stable the line for a year maybe two then develop other guys behind them in the process....

As the title of the article says, Eagles may release Mathis if they can't trade him.

What do we have to trade? We are low on picks and while we have more talent than we've had in a while, we don't have a lot of depth. Anyone we'd give up would create a new hole.

Time to get a great trade in! But wonder what it could cost to get Mathis?

2016 draft pick is the only thing I can think of.

Yeah that thought occurred to me too, but I think its risky. A lot can happen between now and the 2016 draft, but if we start trading picks already then we could potentially have two straight drafts with a low number of picks.
Doing that is essentially committing to being able to win with the guys we have.
I'd be fine with him but he's pricey with what Yardrat posted as their remaining cap figure, 5 mil and change. Someone would have to go and not Urbik since he comes cheaper. I sure hope they don't spend any more picks either.

Bryce Brown
McCoy, Clay, Felton, Cassel, Incognito, Harvin, Bryce Brown and McKelvin in a stunning turn of events for DeMarco Murray, Ryan Matthews, Sam Bradford and all of the Eagles 6th and 7th round picks for the next 5 years.

I would just let this play out. The Eagles might outright cut him.

I would rather trade for him then worry about losing our chance.

Uh...that's kind of the reason I bumped the thread. Haha, doesn't seem like people realized that.
