Who do you want? I think we take the best guard available.

It's kind of mute at this point isn't it? They have players penciled in at every position sans one guard and a TE. And they say they are signing Clay.
So a guard, a TE and some players to develop as back-ups. I doubt they take a huge reach for a QB given Cassel and Taylor. If one drops to where they have him on their board, maybe they take a swing. But I doubt they'll reach for a guy in the 3rd that they have as a 5th.Last edited by swiper; 03-15-2015, 08:07 PM.

Could also be a 3-4 DE.
Think of all the guys Rex has drafted lately with his first pick.
Wilkerson, Richardson, Calvin Pryor, Coples, Milliner, Kyle Wilson.
Only glitches were Smith and Sanchez.Last edited by Mahdi; 03-15-2015, 08:21 PM.

I want Grayson the QB, because he's a fresher flavor of what we have, I'd expect best available DB though. Under Ryan they are not going to take who you think they will imho.

I've been all over the oline in the second so far, but S, CB, NT and DE are looking more and more likely to be at least in the mix.YardRat Wall of Fame

To me, as it stands, you have to be looking at these positions: DE, OG, OT, TE. I agree with Mahdi re: Ryan's success with Wilkerson and Richardson coupled with the shallow pool of 5T DEs pointing to that being a strong consideration at 50. OL is much deeper IMO at those spots than DE. TE would be nice but with only two picks in the top 150 it's hard for me to see a TE there.

I could see DL being the pick. We don't have much depth and those guys need to rotate. OL seems like a fairly deep position so they may feel they can get a quality player in the 3rd that can come in and compete right away. I could also see them making another OL move before the draft making it less of a need. If they do go OL at #50 though, I think it will be an OT that could also move inside to OG. It doesn't seem like they're sold on Henderson since they made Bulaga a top FA target, so maybe they intend to move Henderson inside to OG. Or if Henderson wins the RT job they can still move the draft pick inside to RG.
I think the Clay deal gets done, eliminating TE as a draft priority.
