All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Jim Schwartz is leaving Buffalo, and Rex Ryan will be re-installing his defense for the Bills. What does that mean for the team philosophically and from a personnel standpoint?
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit

I think this is spot on, if you look at the diagram I posted.

You think Rex will waste Dareus at the nose? Doubt it. He won't be using Dareus like he was using Harrison in NY. I think Stefan Charles could be the NT.

I seem to remember Dareus doing pretty well at the nose the last time he played there.

Not sure how much "nose" Dareus was actually playing though, especially on passing downs. Pettine was very multiple and was often playing with an even front.

No, I think Rex will utilize Darues and allow him to relish at the NT position.

Re: Who are the starting front seven on D, as of today?
I'd be surprised if Rex put Dareus on the nose, but that line-up is probably the best fit across the board considering strenghts/weaknesses. Cleve's is closest to what was run under Pettine. Lawson actually started 14 games in '13 over Hughes, who came off the bench, but with the new investment I doubt that's repeated. Hopefully Wynn or Charles or Bryant can step up and be this season's version of Carrington/Branch.
