A good punter is vital to the field position battle that largely controls strategy in a game situation.

Yeah..but even the best make less than second string at most positions.

For real? I think they should at least make the minimum amount of the lowest first string player.

I agree, Judge. That's where a lot of teams have problems. They give up a lot of field position in the kick off.

Dave Moore, backup to Riemersma last season and unknown to start this season averages over a Million a season. Alex Van Pelt averages a Million per season.


Now on the Bills, this might be an exaggeration- as over half the roster is comprised of draft picks over the past 3 seasons (first contract-they make peanuts) But on your average NFL roster, punters make peanuts compared to the rest of the team.
