All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

The Buffalo Bills have decieed to pick up the fifth-year option on cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
PHOENIX -- The Buffalo Bills will pick up the $11.082 million fifth-year option on cornerback Stephon Gilmore this spring, general manager Doug Whaley confirmed at the NFL owners meetings on Tuesday.
Gilmore's receptions and yards allowed last season were similar to those of Revis and Davis. Rex called him "elite" and Henderson said he "shuts down half of the field".

I think I saw an article that inferred Rexy said Revis and Cromartie would be back-ups in Buffalo...I'll see if I can find it.
I read that he was joking that Revis and Cromartie would have been back ups on the Jets last year in response to a question about the Jets spending on the secondary.
I read the Buffalo Rumblings article about next year's projected cap and I just don't see how we will be able to compete with the other offers he will get. It's going to take some real cap magic to keep him here.

I think the 2016 number comes down if you factor in voiding the final two years of the Harvin contract.

He definitely meant the Jets but the article erroneously attributed it to the Bills.

Most of us didn't think we could get Hughes' re-signed because of the big money out there as an UFA but somehow Whaley got it done. Maybe if we pull a Suh and give Dareus most of his BIG money in the 2nd of the deal we can do it.

well the difference is that we had a ton of cap space this year. We won't next year.
