The Miami Herald reports Miami Dolphins LB Junior Seau will be used in blitzing situations a lot throughout the season, according to head coach Dave Wannstedt. "Like with Junior Seau. We normally haven't been a big blitz defense, but . . . it's no secret that he's one of the best pass-rushing linebackers in the league," Wannstedt said. "So we'll find ways, maybe three or four times a game, to use him that way."

Dolphins face possible holdouts
Six draft picks remain unsigned
The Dolphins edged a little closer to getting their draft picks signed but also got closer to possible holdouts by their top three picks after an unusual day of talks Monday.
The Dolphins reached an agreement with seventh-round pick Davern Williams, a defensive tackle, on a three-year deal. That reduced the number of draft picks who haven't agreed to terms to six as the team prepares to open training camp Friday....

Miami signs rookie DT
DAVIE -- With players scheduled to report to training camp Thursday, the Dolphins lowered their number of unsigned draft picks to six Monday by reaching a three-year agreement with defensive tackle Davern Williams.
Williams, the team's seventh-round pick, No. 248 overall, joined fifth-rounder Donald Lee and sixth-rounder Corey Jenkins among the signed rookies. Linebacker Eddie Moore, left tackle Wade Smith, guard Taylor Whitley, wide receiver J.R. Tolver, tackle Tim Provost and safety Yeremiah Bell are unsigned, but the team is hopeful it can reach deals before the first practice Friday....

Updating ongoing reports, Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins are declining to talk to the agents of the team's top three draft picks collectively any longer. The Dolphins told the agents of LB Eddie Moore, OT Wade Smith, and OG Taylor Whitley that they would like to speak to each one separately. As of yet, the agents have stood firm in their desire to work together.

Updating an ongoing story, Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports an NFL Players Association source said that Derek Spratley, the agent of Miami Dolphins second-round pick LB Eddie Moore, exchanged proposals with the team and is willing to accept a five-year deal. However, the deal contains incentives that will be very difficult to earn, such as requiring Moore to make two Pro Bowls in his first four seasons.

Updating previous reports, Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins and starting DE Adewale Ogunleye are still negotiating some incentives in his contract. Ogunleye's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has said several times that he expects Ogunleye, who remains unsigned, to be in camp on time but does not want to guarantee anything. "I really doubt it will come to that, but we have some work to do," Rosenhaus said.

Updating previous reports, the Palm Beach Post reports Miami Dolphins rookie LB Eddie Moore signed a five-year contract worth $3.45 million on Thursday, July 24. The deal includes a $1.54 million signing bonus, and he can earn $1.5 million in incentives.
