    Catching on To Keyshawn

    LAKE BUENA VISTA -- When Jon Gruden took over two springs ago as coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he challenged his players to immerse themselves in football like never before. He wanted them to become fixtures at team headquarters during the off-season. He wanted uncompromising commitment.

    Wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, meanwhile, was on a different schedule.

    A self-proclaimed "West Coast guy," Johnson had his family and business interests on the other side of the country. He'd be around for mandatory minicamps, but as far as those grinding voluntary workout sessions -- the Organized Team Activities that his new coach deemed critical -- Johnson was uncompromising, all right.

    "I'll never change my off-season routine," Johnson said. "Let me reiterate that."
